Out the window of my downtown Los Angeles hotel room - the helicopter hovers overhead and police bullhorns say "Come Out With Your Hands Up."
Just this moring I woke up in the Biltmore just around the corner from here. Had breakfast and went downstairs to swim in the Italian Marble pool, sit in the hot tub, and lay back in the marble steam room.
This town is crazy.
I've never been here and not been in a hot tub.
But still - everything's crazy here - and amazing.
Just came back from dinner over at the Brewery - old PBR brewing factory - with Danyella, Slymenstra Hymen, Smyley Barnicle, and Darryl - and I wonder how I ever leave this city.
Then I walk through downtown at night looking for a sandwich or a bottle of water - and I can't find a store or see a person for blocks.
Is this a major metropolis?
Where is everybody.
In their cars.
Cars.
Driving 1 mile to the store and back.
Driving 50 miles to work everyday.
This place is freaking huge.
And speaking of huge.
I'm getting up in the morning to fly to Texas.
San Antonio for 18 hours then back to LA for 18 hours
Then Back to DC.
Freaking Madness.
But how else could it possibly be?
